BLQ is an offline trivia game with a second life as a revision tool. It runs entirely on your device — there is no account, no sign-in, and it never connects to the internet.
Questions, bug reports, or a question in the bank you think is wrong:
Please include your device and iOS/macOS version — it helps a lot.
No — not at any point. Every question, flashcard and page of course notes is bundled inside the app. It works identically in Airplane Mode.
Double-tap the BLQ wordmark at the top left of the start screen — two taps in quick succession. That switches the app over to the coursework side: 1,277 questions drawn from unit slides, the flashcard decks, and the course notes. If you use VoiceOver or a keyboard, there is a button labelled Open study mode immediately after the wordmark.
They stay locked until you have turned that unit's flashcard deck once. It is deliberate — the deck is the reading, the questions are the test. Your place in a deck is saved, so you can stop and come back.
There is a mute switch in the settings menu on the start screen and another in the header
during a round. On a keyboard, M toggles it. The setting is remembered separately
from your progress, and your device's silent switch still applies.
Open the settings menu on the start screen and choose to reset. The study bank keeps its own separate progress, reset from Reset study progress at the foot of the study screen. Neither affects the other.
Progress is stored only on your device, and deleting the app deletes it. Nothing is uploaded, so there is unfortunately no way to restore it — the trade for an app that collects nothing.
Email the question wording and what you think the right answer is, and it will be corrected in a future update.
BLQ collects nothing, sends nothing, and contains no ads, analytics or tracking of any kind. See the privacy policy for the full statement.
